I have worked for many years in pursuit of my dream career of becoming a nurse, however, as I come up on my second year of nursing, I reflect on how much I have learned and where I want to go from here in my nursing career. The "politics" of hospital nursing has truly made me have a change of heart, and as the ONLY black Labor & Delivery nurse on my unit I often times feel singled out when it comes to theses "politics". Labor & Delivery will always be my first love and my passion, but I'm learning that my talents could be more useful in other nursing capacities.
