Kamri Briana Morris, RN, BSN! Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it :) I have officially started my new position in the Women's Health Residency. I will rotate through Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and the Antepartum Women's Unit. I was blessed to be offered this position with 4 other ladies, and I can't be more ecstatic to see what the future will hold.
My plan is to complete the residency, which is one year. Then decide from my floors which one to stay on. I will start graduate school within the next year to complete my Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Midwifery dual-degree. My intentions are to attending graduate school at Georgetown University (Go Hoyas!) I want to practice as a WHNP and CNM, then in a few years open up my own practice where I can offer family planning and pre/post-natal care, targeting women of low-socioeconomic status.
Plans change, goals change, but I know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Look out world, Nurse Kamri is here, to take your hospital by storm.
