Natural To Straight

Updated: Sep 13, 2019

After my journey of over 5 years of being natural, I have finally decided to straighten my hair! I have always felt like there was no pressure to do it, and why do it when humidity would have me back to my 4b/4c hair in a few hours. However, my Senior nursing pictures were a big deal for me, an actual reason for me to take the steps to straighten my hair. Luckily my mother is a hairstylist and worked with me to make sure I had an amazing picture day. I have a video from my channel below including a step by step of the process as well as a few pictures of how I've styled my hair. I underestimated how long my hair would last straight but I'm working on two weeks and it still looks great! The E'Tae Carmelux (Yes it's Carmel, not Caramel) line was used during my entire process then finished off with Organix Nourishing Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Oil Mist. If you are in the Charlotte, NC area or just looking for a stylist, contact me for her information.

Disclaimer: My goal is not long hair, it's healthy hair. So I don't mind getting my hair cut or even cutting it myself sometimes. But I caution you that if you are thinking about altering your hair chemically, with heat, etc. to consult a PROFESSIONAL hairstylist.
