Day SIX of Eleven, and I'm feeling amazing! This has been a tough week for my weight loss journey but I am down 5 pounds. This is less than I expected, but I haven't quite had the perfect week... As far as day 1-3 on my Military Diet, I did amazing on day one, enjoyed my minimal calorie breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, day two, I slipped up and peer pressure drove me to eat a Kids Chicken Supreme meal from Bojangle's for lunch, but you try eating saltine crackers when your friends are eating chicken in front of you lol. I picked back up on day three and finished my Military Diet out strong!
I have tried to maintain my healthy eating habits after completing the Military Diet by consuming about 1300 calories a day. I've been eating my Special K cereal (Vanilla Almond & Cinnamon Brown Sugar Crunch Protein) and snacking on fruit like Pineapple and Kiwi. Lunch options for me have included Turkey Bacon Pinwheels and Santé Fe Salad (my favorite :) purchased from Walmart). I have only been drinking bottled water as well. Last night, I treated myself to Dame's Chicken & Waffles (If you live near Greensboro, NC or Durham, NC then you MUST try this restaurant), I had half of my order, which was: a Sweet Potato waffle, chicken drumsticks, and Mac & Cheese.
As far as exercising, twice a day was a little far fetched for me. Since you aren't supposed to exercise on the Military Diet, I have found a way to work out 2 of the 3 days I have been supposed to after completing it. I have attended a "Hip-Hop Cycling Class" and worked out at the local YMCA doing cardio and weights.
I have a lot of hope for the next five days of my weight loss journey, and will keep you updated. T minus FIVE days until I am relaxing on the beach in South Beach, Miami, Florida.
